Stowaway is Pattern Is Movement’s second album, and first to be recorded and produced with Scott Solter. It’s damn good. NFI put out the cd, and Alone Records put out the vinyl. If you’re feeling lucky, check out Scott Solter’s remix of the entire record, Canonic.
Here’s what some other folks had to say about Stowaway...
“...a head-spinning record full of unique ideas.”
-Pitchfork Media
"Stowaway is a one of those records that is a good listen that begs for a second one. There are subtleties you’ll pick up after a couple, even though you’ll probably be singing along by then, if you can keep up."
-Chicago Music Guide
"Pattern Is Movement is a band that has carved out a unique sound for itself ... that I would like to hereby dub Pattern Rock ... this is easily one of the best albums of the year." -Cdreviews.com
"Pattern Is Movement ... has achieved what very few have yet to do. They’ve given the world a glimpse into the future of where rock/pop can go." -Empme
"Pattern is Movement seems to be a group of masterminds tinkering with the deepest secrets of music ... the art of Pattern is Movement is inescapable, always able to penetrate the thoughts and emotions of even the most rigid of listeners." -Copper Press
"Most band interviews usually contain statements along the lines of our group's sound really can't be labeled. As cliched as it sounds, this might actually be true for Philly's own Pattern Is Movement."
-Philadelphia Weekly
